Thought of the Week:

Einstein said, "I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world." This wise statement by Einstein brings me back to what the prophets in the Bible were doing. They sought to change the lives of the people of Israel. These men, like Elijah who we learned about Tuesday, never lectured their audience without speaking through their imagination. They wrote poetry to condemn the evil doers of the ancient world. They created stories that people would relate to. Some prophets acted out their message (read a few chapters of Ezekiel). One prophet even married a prostitute to show Israel, God's bride, what theirebellionon was like (Read the first chapter of Hosea). I wouldn't try that one if I was you!

As we learn about God and our world don't loose sight of what really matters. Imagination will make the difference as you become leaders. Knowledge is important but is limited. It can provide a great foundation, but it hits a brick wall when you want to see change in your life and the world around you.

So, use your imagination toward the renewal of your mind. "Do not be conformed to this present world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." Romans 12:2
